Cards get upended by Miller Express on Monday night

The Yorkton Cardinals had their record drop to 1-2 on the short WMBL season as they fell at Jubilee Park 8-3 to the Moose Jaw Miller Express on Monday night.

Kevin McLeod and Matt Bowles led the way for the Cards at the plate each chipping in with 3 hits in a losing cause while Jeff Pool got the start for Yorkton and went 5 2/3 innings giving up 3 runs on 6 hits walking 1 and striking out 3 while being tagged with the loss.

The Cards will need to regroup fast as they go right back at it against their Highway 10 rivals the Melville Millionaires tomorrow night (Tues) 7:05 at Jubilee Park, the same Mils team they beat for their first victory of the season on Sunday a 4-3 win at Pirie Field
