The Western Hockey League is out with their league awards and All-Star teams from the 2016/17 regular season.
Ochapowace product and Seattle Thunderbirds defenceman Ethan Bear was named to the Western Conference's 1st All-Star team & also named as the Western Conference nominee the WHL's Defenceman of the Year.
He will go up against Regina Pats dman Connor Hobbs for the award.
Bear, who is in 4th season with the T-Birds had 28 goals, 42 assists for 70 points in 67 regular season games
