Nov. 26th Local MJHL/SJHL Recap

 FLYERS 2,   STAMPEDERS 0

The Swan Valley Stampeders had their 2 game win streak snapped on Friday night after a 2-0 loss to the Winkler Flyers.

The game was scoreless until 3:51 left when Ryan Monias got a loose puck back-door and made no mistake for his 5th to make it 1-0, before Mike Svenson iced it into the empty-net with just over a minute to go.

Malachi Klassend made 23 saves for his 2nd shutout of the season for Winkler, while Stamps' G Kobe  Grant was solid in loss making 39 stops.

The two teams will once again meet on Saturday night in Swan River starting at 7:00PM

TERRIERS 6,  ICE WOLVES 2

Clay Sleeva had 2G 1A to lead the Yorkton Terriers back into the win column after a 5-2 win over the visiting La Ronge Ice Wolves. 

Erik Boers, Kishaun Gervais, Colby Vranai and Tanner Sklaruk also scored, while Bradley Mistol made 20 stops in the win.

Gavin Mattey had both goals for the Ice Wolves. 

The Terriers' return to action on Saturday hosting the Nipawin Hawks.

HAWKS 4,
MILLIONAIRES 3 (OT)
 

The Melville Millionaires' dropped their 7th overtime game of the season on Friday, falling 4-3 to the Nipawin Hawks.

Alex Johnson scored the game winner in overtime for the Hawks who got singles from Christian Albertson, Zander Stewart and Jake Smith.

Noah Wills (1G 1A) and Louis-Frederic Theberge (2A)  led the Mils with two points each, while Nicolas Samson and Jonathan Krahn also scored.

The Mills return to action on Saturday night in Churchbridge at 7:30PM when they battle the La Ronge Ice Wolves at the Kaminski Arena.
