The Melville Millionaires scored 6 runs in the 2nd, and added 5 more in the 9th inning and never looked back as they gave the Medicine Hat Mavericks their first loss of the post season a 16-5 drubbing at Jeffries Park.

Matt Helms led the way for the Mils in a big way going 4 for 6 at the plate, while Ben Villafuerte chipped in with 3 hits.  Kevin Biro, Garett Kilgore (had 5 RBIs), Jose Fortuna (2nd HR of postseason), AJ Florence & catcher Cam Firth each had 2 hits each as well.

Mils right hander Alex Webb started on the mound and was very solid despite some control problems (he walked 8 batters), he did go 5 and 2/3 innings allowing 2 unearned runs on 2 hits while striking out 5 to increase his scorless innings pitched to 17 1/3 innings, he also improved his playoff record to an impressive 3-0.

The Series has now turned into a Best of 3 series as the series is tied up at 1 game apiece, with series shifting back to Melville for Games 3 & 4 tonight (Wed) and tomorrow (Thurs) at Pirie Field. First Pitch at 7:05. Come on out to check out some great baseball, and to see the first league final game in 11 years at Pirie Field.
