After an opening end blank, Eve Muirhead made an outstanding come around with her last in the opening end forcing Rachel Homan into a soft weight hit for her one, but she wrecked on the front allowing Muirhead to steal 2 in the 2nd end and take a 2-0 lead early on.

In the 3rd, it looked like a whole lot of trouble for the Homan rink but Eve Muirhead trying to get around the abundance of rocks in front wrecked, that allowed Homan to play a raise of her own onto Muirheads in the 4 foot and it was successful to cut the lead in half to 2-1.

Just before the 4th end break, Muirhead would add to her lead as she would make her easy hit for one to take a 3-1 lead. Homan would once again be able to cut into the Scottish teams lead in 5th as facing a couple her draw would grab a piece of the button to make it a 3-2 Muirhead advantage.

Muirhead would be forced to take a single point in the 6th end after her blank attempt was unsuccessful and she would regain her 2 point lead at 4-2. In an end controlled by the Muirhead rink, Homan was forced into a hit for her single point and she made no mistake, to cut to within one at 4-3 without hammer heading into the 8th end.

In the 8th end, it would be an open draw for the Scotland native Muirhead, and like she was all week right on mark to push her to the 5-3 victory.
