The SJHL's Melville Millionaires held their annual general meeting last night (Tues) at the Horizon Credit Union Center.
After a successful 13/14 playoff run which produced a profit of 17-thousand dollars, the Mils who lost in the Quarter-Final round to the Nipawin Hawks have gone the opposite direction financially.
Mils President Dawn Melnychuk says that the 14/15 season has produced around a $70,000 shortfall for the SJHL club.
"We are not in the same boat as other teams, but still lots of work to do for this upcoming season like maybe some cutbacks and other possible ways to increase our revenue"
Melnychuk adds the club is pretty much staying status quo with the same executive, officers and directors for the upcoming season
**The Millionaires are ALSO holding a 2015/16 Season Ticket Early Bird Sale Pancake Breakfast coming up on Friday at the Horizon Credit Union Center. The break fast will run from 6AM-10AM. A free breakfast will be offered with a purchase of a season ticket. Early bird pricing is $260.00 for Adults and $170.00 for Students.
I had a chance to catch up with Melnychuk below:
