The Yorkton Terriers and Virden Oil Capitals of the MJHL have announced the completion of a trade dating back to the January 10th trade deadline. At that time Yorkton sent 20-year old right-winger Kurt Johnas (Winnipeg, MB) to Virden for futures.
The second part of the trade sees Virden acquire the CJHL
playing rights to 1995 LW Tyson Enzie (Calgary,AB) in return the Terriers
receive the CJHL playing rights to 1996 goaltender Cameron Pateman (Regina,
SK).
Pateman played in 18-games for the Oil Capitals in 2014-15
registering a goals against average of 3.12 to go along with a save percentage
of 0.876%. Prior to joining the Oil Capitals Pateman played two seasons in the
Saskatchewan AAA Midget Hockey League with the Regina Pat Canadians.
Enzie played two seasons with the Yorkton Terriers
where he dressed in 101-regular season games, scoring 16-goals and adding
23-assists. Enzie was named the Terriers co-rookie of the year in 2014 when the
team captured the SJHL Canalta Cup, the Western Canada Cup and the RBC Cup
National Championship.
The Terriers thank Tyson for his commitment to the
organization and wish him luck in Virden.
They also would like to welcome Cameron to the Yorkton
Terriers organization.
