In Junior A Preseason hockey action,

Veteran Issac Labelle made 25 saves for the shutout as the Waywaseecappo Wolverines got their first win of the preseason blanking the visiting Yorkton Terriers 1-0 on Thursday night.

Brandon Lawson scored the game's only goal for the Wolverines.

The Wolverines return back to the ice on Friday night when they host the Neepawa Natives at 7PM MB time from the Wayway Arena Complex while the Terriers are back at it on Saturday night when they visit the Swan Valley Stampeders at 7:30PM MB time.


Elsewhere,

The Swan Valley Stampeders fell at the Whitney Forum in Flin Flon, 5-1 to the hometown Bombers.

Donovan Houle had 2 goals to lead the way for the Bombers while Daylan Marchi, Nate Hooper and Jessie Young had singles.

Cole Chicoine had the lone marker for the Stampeders.
