Terriers' Petruic named CJHL's 1st star for month of October
The Canadian Junior Hockey League announced Wednesday that forwards Chantz Petruic (Yorkton Terriers, SJHL), Tristan Lamothe (Collège Français de Longueuil, LHJAAAQ) and Ken Johnson (Trail Smoke Eaters, BCHL) have been named its Gongshow Gear 3 Stars of the Month for October
1ST STAR: CHANTZ PETRUIC, (F) YORKTON TERRIERS (SJHL) –
Suiting up on 11 occasions last month, the 20-year-old Moose Jaw, Sask., native etched his name on the scoresheet in each game, while scoring 13 times and dishing out a dozen assists for a 25-point run during the time frame. … The Terriers captain had at least one point in every match-up in October and produced eight multi-point affairs for Yorkton. … Despite recently having an impressive 23-game point streak dashed, Petruic has only been held pointless twice in his first 26 SJHL contests so far in 2019-20. … His efforts see him lead his league in goals (28) and points (54).
