Yorkton Terriers 2023 Preseason Recap

 

WED. SEPT 13TH/23:

The Yorkton Terriers got two goals from Anthony Domina to help them to a 6-5 shootout win over the Weyburn Red Wings on the road on Wednesday night. 

Tate Schofer, Aiden Knutson, and Cade Kennedy also scored in regulation for Yorkton while Kennedy & Jye Zawatsky scored the goals in the shootout. 

Liam Fitzgerald scored twice for Weyburn, who got singles from Blake Betson, Max Monette and Drew Molde. 

Blake Sittler made 37 saves on 42 shots for the Terriers in the win. 

SAT. SEPT 8TH/23:

Cade Kennedy scored the game winner just 57 seconds into overtime to lead the Yorkton Terriers to a 4-3 win over the Melville Millionaires on Saturday night.

Anthony Domina, Shaden Duliak and Dylan Ruptash also scored for the Terriers while Curran Wintonyk-Pilot, Luc Bydal and Jase Konecsni replied for the Millionaires.

Terriers G Caleb Allen made 32 stops to earn the win in goal while William Dyke (11 saves on 12 shots) and Ethan Rau (19 saves on 22 shots) split the Millionaires goaltending duties.



FRI. SEPT 7TH/23:

The Melville Millionaires won their 2nd straight preseason matchup after a 3-1 victory on Friday over the Yorkton Terriers.

Curran Wintonyk-Pilot, Felix Beauchemin and Matt Kjemhus scored for the Mils while Dalton Mayes replied for the Terriers.

WED. SEPT 6TH/23:

Dylan Ruptash scored twice to the lead the Yorkton Terriers to a 3-2 win on Wednesday night over the MJHL's Waywayseecappo Wolverines. 

Aiden Knutson also scored for the Terriers, while Caleb Allen made 27 saves on 29 shots in the win. 

Sean Williams and Owen Wheatley replied for the Wolverines while starter Marek Andres made 49 saves in the loss. 

TUES. SEPT 5TH/23: 

The Yorkton Terriers drop the opening game of their 2023 preseason schedule on Tuesday night, 3-2 in the shootout to the visiting Weyburn Red Wings. 

Clark Furman and Ryder Woods scored the goals for the Terriers while Blake Sittler (11 saves on 13 shots) and Luke McKechnie (20 saves on 20 shots) split the Yorkton goaltending duties. 

Lucas Schmid and Wyatt Lacoste replied for the Wings.
