Yorkton’s Mahlon Wiley selected for Team Saskatchewan for 2025 WHL Cup

Hockey Saskatchewan has unveiled its 20-player roster for the 2025 WHL Cup, taking place October 22–26 in Red Deer, Alta.

The Male Under-16 team features two goaltenders, six defencemen, and 12 forwards representing communities across the province.

Among the players named are Yorkton’s Mahlon Wiley and Melville Millionaires prospect Carter Wiggins. Wiley is skating this season with the Regina Pat Canadians in the Sask. Male U18 AAA Hockey League, while Wiggins is beginning his U18 AAA career with the Saskatoon Blazers.

These athletes will don the Saskatchewan jersey as they take on Alberta, Manitoba, and British Columbia in a showcase for 2010-born players from across Western Canada.

The 2025 WHL Cup, hosted at the Peavey Mart Centrium, marks the 12th edition of the tournament.

Team Saskatchewan begins round-robin play on October 22, with game times to be announced.
