Swan Valley Stampeder snap 10 game winless skid after overtime win over Neepawa

MJHL: 

TITANS 4, STAMPEDERS 5 (OT) 

Will Brown was the hero, scoring the game-winning goal just 59 seconds into overtime as the the Swan Valley Stampeders snapped their 10-game winless streak with a thrilling 5-4 victory over the Neepawa Titans at Centennial Arena. Swan River's Trace Langan (1st MJHL goal), Aidan Taylor, Landen Gulutzan, and Ben Groome also found the back of the net, while Elias Giaccarri-Dimitriou made an impressive 43 saves. Kyle Weisgarber, Carter McLeod, Colton Alexander, and Garrett McDonald replied for the Titans, who have now dropped to 8-8-1 on the season.

SJHL: 

TERRIERS 5, BRUINS 2 (AT COTE FIRST NATION) 

Quinn Tavender scored his first two goals of his SJHL career, while Yorkton's Vinay Junek scored in his sixth straight game to lead the Yorkton Terriers to a 5-2 win over the Estevan Bruins in a game played on the Cote First Nation. Tylan Henrikson and Dustin Renas also found the net for the Terriers, while Callum Creig turned aside 25 of 27 shots in the win. Kent Moors scored both goals for the visiting Bruins in the loss. The Terriers return to action on Saturday night for another neutral site game, this time in Churchbridge against the La Ronge Ice Wolves starting at 7:00 PM.


ICE WOLVES 3, MILLIONAIRES 2

Grayden Perozni scored the winning goal with 6:22 left in regulation to lead the La Ronge Ice Wolves to their third straight win, a 3-2 victory on the road over the Melville Millionaires. Seth Dragan and Mason Bueckert also scored for the Ice Wolves, while Ryan Roethke and Liam Rodman replied for the Millionaires. Ice Wolves' netminder Logan Falk made 26 stops to earn the victory in goal, while Mils' goalie Nick Genette stopped 20 shots in the losing cause. The Millionaires return to action on Saturday night on the road in Humboldt against the Broncos.
