The Swan Valley Stampeders dropped their fifth straight on Friday night, a 9-3 decision on the road to the Virden Oil Capitals.
Noel Englot led the way for the Oil Caps with a four-goal and one assist night while Rhett Platt also had one goal and three assists in the win.
Rhylan Baxter, Kyan Grouette, Marshall Light and Marek Miller also scored for the home team, who got 27 saves from Peyton Shore in the win.
Landen Gulutzan, Will Brown and Daniel Johnson replied for the Stampeders.
Swan Valley returns to action on Saturday night visiting the Dauphin Kings, while the Oil Capitals also on Saturday entertain the Winnipeg Freeze.

The Melville Millionaires are now winless in their last six games after a 3-1 road loss on Friday night to the Humboldt Broncos.
Tre Fouqette and Connor Miller scored goals for the Broncos in the first and second periods respectively to give the home team a 2-0 through two periods.
Raiden Zacharias cut the Mils deficit to within one just over five minutes into the third but Marik Mamic added some insurance on the powerplay with 4:47 to go to help seal the win.
Eduoard Gauthier made 37 saves on 38 shots to earn the win in the Broncos goal while Mils netminder Nick Genette stopped 34 of 37 in the loss.
The Millionaires return to action on Tuesday night hosting the Viterra-division leading Weyburn Red Wings.
