The Melville Millionaires had their 3 game winning streak snapped last night in Carlyle by the Estevan Bruins 4-3.
The Bruins would get 2 quick goals half way through the 1st period as Hudson Morrison and Taylor Reich got the Bruins on the board and it was 2-0 for the Bruins after 1 period of play.
The Mils would get on the board 14:26 into period number 2 as Alex Elliot would score one of the nicest goals you will see for his 6th goal of the season to make it 2-1. But just a short 20 seconds later, Alex Cote would get his first goal in the SJHL to regain Estevan's 2 goal lead after 40 minutes.
But just 4:54 into the last frame, Ian McNulty would corral the loose puck and make no mistake for his 14th goal of the season and the cut the Bruins lead to just one goal. But Estevan would rebound back once again this time just over 2 and a half minutes later as Tyler Kauk's long shot from the point beat goaltender Alex Wakaluk going post and in that made the Estevan lead grow to 4-2. Nathan Boyer would bring the Mils as close as they would get though as his wrist shot went bar down on Curtis Martinu for his 18th goal of the season and that would make the score where it would stand at 4-3.
Bruins' goalie Curtis Martinu was outstanding in goal stopping 44 of 47 shots while Mils' Alex Wakaluk was equally as good but just didn't really have much chance on most of the Bruins' goals.
