Yorkton falls in home opener, 5-3 to Weyburn

The Yorkton Terriers dropped their 2nd game to start the 2015/16 SJHL season as they fell 5-3 to the Weyburn Red Wings in their home opener.

The Welke Twins led the way offensively for the Terriers with each notching their first SJHL goals while big Kevin Wolf got the other marker for the home team. 

Braden Mellon had 2 goals for the Wings while Elvis Jansons, Mike Eskra, and Drake Glover replied with the other goals. 

Jack Burgart got his 2nd straight win in net stopping 24 shots while Cam Pateman made 35 saves in the loss. 

The Terriers next action will be on Friday night when they start a 2 game road trip in Battlefords against the North Stars
