Cards use big 7th inning to comeback for weekend split with Melville


After a 3-1 loss on Saturday night, the Yorkton Cardinals used a 5 run 7th inning to comeback and defeat their Highway 10 rivals, the Melville Millionaires 6-4 on Sunday night at Jubilee Park.

Garret Kizer (pictured above) led the way offensively for the Cards with 2 hits while Justin Johnston came in for relief and threw 6 innings of 5 hit ball to grab the win on the mound.

Hunter Seales was 3 for 5 at the dish to lead the way for the Millionaires.

Yorkton and Melville both return to the field tomorrow night (Tues) as the Cards will be in the Queen City to take on the Regina Red Sox while the Mils will host the Swift Currents at Pirie Field.
