The visiting Swift Current 57s defeated the Yorkton Cardinals 5-4
Thursday night.
Swift Current jumped out to a 4-0 lead only to see the
Cardinals battle back to tie the game. In the top of the seventh, Tyler
Wojciechowski singled home Ethan Hunter for the eventual winning run.
Thirus Jones continues to star for the Cardinals. The Salem
International University product had two hits a walk a RBI and a run
scored in a losing cause.
Catcher Dauson Tate had a hit and scored two runs for the 57s, who
improved their record to 2-5.
The Cardinals with a 0-5 record are still
looking for their first win of the 2018 season and the two teams will meet once again on Friday night at Jubilee Park at 7:05.
