Mils & Cardinals both fall at home in Friday's WMBL Recap

The Weyburn Beavers scored two clutch runs in the top of the ninth to defeat Melville 3-2.

With the win the Beavers improved to 5-0 and are the only undefeated team in the WMBL. The loss dropped Melville to 3-2.

The Mils and Beavers will meet once again tonight (Sat) at 7:05, but this time at Tom Laing Park in Weyburn

Swift Current defeated the Yorkton Cardinals 6-1 at Jubilee Park Friday night.

57s starter Zach Bravo pitched a gem for the visitors. The Eastern Arizona College product threw seven complete innings allowing just four hits and one run while striking out three.
 
Offensively for Yorkton, Thirus Jones produced two of the Cardinals four hits and Colin Kellington walked twice.

The Cardinals will be on home field at Jubilee Park once again on Saturday night facing off with the Regina Red Sox at 7:05.
