Sept. 7th Local SJHL/MJHL Recap

 SJHL: 

The Melville Millionaires won their 2nd straight to start their exhibition schedule after a 4-2 win over the Yorkton Terriers in preseason action last night (Tues).

Noah Wills and Braden Larochelle each had a goal and an assists in the win, while Zach McIntre and Jonathan Krahn had singles for the Mils.

Tyson Janzen and Karsten Kruska replied for the Terriers, who got 35 stops from Jacob Herman in the loss.

Mils' netminder Alexis Grioux made 26 saves to earn the victory.

The Terriers will return to exhibition play on Friday night when they visit the Weyburn Red Wings, while the Mils' will entertain the Humboldt Broncos, also on Friday night.

MJHL: 


Kaedin Wolfe scored the game-winner half way through the 3rd period to the Waywayseecappo Wolverines to 3-2 road preseason win over the Neepawa Titans on Tuesday night. 

Beau Kennedy and Spencer Paplawski also scored for the Wolverines, who won their 2nd straight game.

Replying for the Titans was Brayden Michalchuk and Cameron Trimble. 

The two teams will meet again tonight (Wed) at the Waywayseecappo Arena Complex for a 7:30PM MB face-off.

Also, 

The Swan Valley Stampeders dropped the annual rookie game to the Dauphin Kings by a 3-1 score. 

Nolan Whickman, Jerriah Shantz and Luke Morris scored for the Kings, while Cash Clarkson scored the only goal for Swan. 

The Stampeders will return to action tonight (Wed) when they host the OCN Blizzard at 7PM MB from the Centennial Arena in Swan River.
