Yorkton Terriers let lead slip away in home loss to Melfort on Tuesday

 The Yorkton Terriers (0-3-0) surrendered three goals in the 3rd period in a 5-3 home loss last night (Tues) to the Melfort Mustangs (2-1-0).

Carson Henry, Tyson Perkins and Maddux Nollski helped the Terriers get out to a 3-1 lead in the 2nd but third period goals by Tye Scherger, Ty Albrecht and Ben Tkachuk helped fuel the comeback win for the visitors.

Joel Favreau made 28 saves on 31 shots for the Mustangs in the win, while Terriers' G Jacob Herman turned aside 21 shots in the losing cause.

The Terriers' next game will be on Thursday night when they host the Weyburn Red Wings at 7:30PM from the Westland Arena.
