Fields now set for 2018 Senior Provincial Curling Championships in Tisdale



The final spots were decided on both the men's and women's side for the 2018 Affinity Senior Curling Championships happening later this month in Tisdale.

On the Women's side in the 3rd and final qualifying spiel in Yorkton.

Yorkton's Cathy Inglis would get the first berth by beating Merle Kopach of Saskatoon 7-4 in the first Qualifying game on Saturday morning.

Connie Rayner and her rink out of Swift Current would earn the 2nd berth on Sunday morning by beating Kopach in the triple-knockout event by a score of 5-3.


On the Men's side

In the Southern Playdowns at the Melville Curling Club,

Regina's Randy Gilewich qualified out of the A-Event after a 8-1 over Al Schick Saturday afternoon.

Schick would qualify out of the B-Event after a 7-2 win over Ray Krupski's Melville rink on Saturday night.

Krupski would take one of the C-Qualifers on Sunday beating Gord Bell (Regina) 6-5.

The other C-Qualifier went to Rod Quintin of Swift Current who beat Lampman's Mark Walter 9-4.

The Qualifiers out of the Senior Men's Northerns in Unity were defending champion Darrell McKee, Brian Humble, Eugen Hritzuik and Brad Heidt.


The 2018 Affinity Credit Union's Senior Mens & Women's Curling Championships will go from February 20th-25th in Tisdale, Saskatchewan.
