Mils explode for 7 en route to victory over La Ronge on Tuesday night

The Melville Millionaires now have points in their 4th straight game after a 7-0 win over the La Ronge Ice Wolves on Tuesday at the Horizon Credit Union Center.

The Mils would score first just 9:39 into the 1st period. Issac Embree would get hauled down and then was awarded a penalty shot & make no mistake on a nice move for his 13th goal of the season to make it 1-0. They would add to their lead just 1:09 later making it 2-0 as Trevor Paradise would show some hand eye coordination deflecting in a Eric Soar point shot for his 7th of the year. Melville would add one late in the opening frame from Taylor Elmy that gave them a 3-0 lead after 20 minutes.

Clayton Eisler would add to his team's lead just 5:43 into the 2nd as Damian Bentz would slide over a nice cross-seam pass to the Mils captain and he would hammer his 17th making it 4-0. The Mils would get one more before the 2nd period buzzer would go off as Ethan Kopyczyn would capitalize on a nice pass from Shane Sherban & re-direct in his 6th to give the Mils a 5-0 lead after 2 periods.

The Mils would add a couple more goals in the 3rd period from Logan Foster and Issac Embree to give the home team the 2 points.

Churchbridge's Colby Entz (pictured above) turned aside all 24 shots he faced for his 2nd shutout of the season in the Mils net while La Ronge G Jordan Frey made 37 saves in the losing cause.

The Mils have now officially clinched a playoff spot and will look for their 2nd straight win on Saturday night when they visit the Weyburn Red Wings at Crescent Point Place.
