The schedule for the 1st Western Canada Cup Championship that will be held in Nanaimo, BC and hosted by the BCHL's Nanaimo Clippers.

The tournament will feature a new playoff format designed by Clippers staffer Kyle Anderson. Striving to ensure the highest level of competition for all tournament games Kyle has modified the Page Playoff System from curling to create an exciting weekend of playoff hockey. After the round robin portion of the tournament ends on Thursday, the teams will be rank by order of wins with teams going 4-0, 3-1, 2-2, 1-3 and 0-4. The fifth place team will be eliminated from week-end play. Starting Saturday, May 4, at 2:00 PM, the 2-2 team (third place) will face off against the 1-3 team (fourth place). The loser of this game will be eliminated from further play while the winner will have a chance to compete for the tournament runner up position and the second seed to the Royal Bank Cup.

On Saturday evening, the puck will drop on the championship game, with the 4-0 team (first place round robin facing off against the 3-1 team (second place round robin). The winner of this game will be declared tournament champion and earn the first berth to the Royal Bank Cup. The loser of this game will play the winner of the 3rd place versus 4th place teams for the tournament runner up position and the second berth to the Royal Bank Cup. This new format has received the endorsement of the tournament directorate and the feedback from coaches around the league has been very positive
