Friday Night Recap

The Yorkton Terriers lost their 3rd straight decision, but got a point as they lost 3-2 in overtime to the La Ronge Ice Wolves. 

Dylan Baer and Daylan Gatzke had the goals for the Terriers who got 29 saves from Dawson MacAuley in a losing cause. 

Connor Kortko led the way for the Ice Wolves with 2 goals while Cole Porter had the GWG.

The Terriers will go right back at it on Saturday when they visit the Weyburn Red Wings while Ice Wolves are in Melville at 7:30 HCUC.

Over in the MJHL,

The Swan Valley Stampeders won their 2nd straight as they gave the Winnipeg Blues their first regulation loss of season with a 5-2 victory on home ice.

Colton Brausen, Holden Cronin, Nolan Speiss, Jordan Valentino and Tristin Mullin all scored for Swan who got a 38 save performance from Graham Hunt in the win. 

Scott Rowswell and Kameron Nault scored for the Blues.

The two teams will play each for the 2nd straight night on Saturday 7:30 from the Centennial Arena in Swan River.

It wasn't the way the Wayway Wolverines wanted to start their 2 game road trip as they fell 4-1 to the Selkirk Steelers. 

Dylan Gedjos had the lone goal for the Wolverines while Justin Holder stopped 29 shots in the loss.

It doesn't get any easier for Wayway as they continue their roadie in Portage against the 12-0 Terriers on Saturday night.
