Wolverines win 2nd straight blanking Neepawa 1-0


The Wayway Wolverines (5-11-1) notched their 2nd win in a row last night as they downed the visiting Neepawa Natives (6-9-1) 1-0 from the Wayway Arena Complex.

20 year old Mitch Wiebe (pictured above) stopped all 22 shots he faced while Rylee Zimmer had the lone goal, the game winner shorthanded for the Wolverines. The 17 year old Russell MB product now has 4 points in his 3 games back since he was reassigned from the WHL's Regina Pats.

Neepawa netminder Alex Henry made 35 saves in the losing cause.

The Wolverines next action will be on Friday night when they start a 3 games in 3 nights in Winkler against the Flyers.
