2 months ago, it looked like these kids gave up and just wanted to go home. They get their wish now, I guess,
ReplyDeleteyou know to hear the coach say they were going out with pride.sorry to say they do have any pride or heart to play out the season if they had a desire and pride they would have been playing there hearts outs for a playoff spot and defend there title of champions but not to be hate to see how bad they going to be next year or even worst.
ReplyDeleteNo kidding how can you be a Champion one year and then not even make playoffs ....does not make sense.
ReplyDeleteWhat does not make any sense is your expectations of the team, or your knowledge of the cyclical nature of junior hockey. Back to back championships and in the league final 4 of the last 5 seasons. Assets (skilled players) were sold to get there and that eventually catches up with any team. There are teams in the league that have sucked 4 out of the last 5 years. The Terriers were due for an off year.
ReplyDeleteTotally different Terrier team from last year with all the key players graduating and playing on different teams from last year. Hopefully this rebuilding mode won't last long.
ReplyDeleteswkot you sure seem to know everything about hockey thought you were a Highway 10 rivalry fan.
ReplyDeleteYou're right Frank, I'm down the highway cheering for a team that has never won anything. Ever. I suppose maybe it is a totally different perspective, but I would gladly accept the occasional losing season if my team won the league 4 times in the last decade and managed to bring home a national championship as well. These cycles happen.
