Successful Tuesday Night
In the SJHL,
The Melville Millionaires got back on the win track and snapped a 2 game slide as they defeated Notre Dame Hounds 3-2 in overtime in Wilcox.
Alec Brandrup scored the overtime winner and also added an assist to lead the way while Kelvin Walz and Lane Harbor also chipped in with the Mils goals.
Isaiah Plett returned back to the net and stopped 31 shots for the victory.
The Mils will host the 1st game of the Highway 10 home and home on Friday at the HCUC, pregame 7:20, pxp at 7:30 on GX94.

In the MJHL,
The Swan Valley Stampeders also won on Tuesday night as they dumped the OCN Blizzard 6-4.
Bo Sigurdson led the way with a hat trick and an assist while Nic Erb, Brayden McDonald and Jagger Thomas also scored the Stamps goals.
Graham Hunt stopped 33 shots for the win in goal.
Swan's next action will be Friday when they start a 3 game road trip in Steinbach against the Pistons.
Terriers' C Norrish named SJHL Dman of the Week

Chase Norrish, Yorkton Terriers
1993 D Chase Norrish (Strongfield SK) had multiple point outings in all three games last week, including a standout two-goal, two-assist outing against Humboldt on Friday. He started the week with two assists in a win over Flin Flon on Tuesday and then had two helpers in a win over Notre Dame on Saturday. He has 6-goals and 26-assists in 46-games on the year.

Saltcoats native Laycock captures Men's Tankard
Steve Laycock will be making his 4th appearance at the Tim Horton's Brier, but first as a Skip as him and his team of Kirk Muyres, Colton Flasch and Dallan Muyres defeated defending champion Brock Virtue 7-6 in the Championship game.
Earlier in the day, Laycock stole 2 points the extra-end as he beat Jeff Hartung of Langenburg 8-6 in the Semi-Final.
Laycock and his rink will now wear the Green and White and represent Saskatchewan at this years edition of the Canadian Men's Curling Championship starting March 1st in Kamloops, British Columbia.

The Yorkton Terriers won their 5th game in a row as they beat the Notre Dame Hounds 4-2 on Saturday night.
Josh Ellis led the way with 2 goals while Brady Norrish and Devon McMullen also scored. Kale Thomson made 30 saves for the victory.
The Terriers pulled into a 1st place tie with the Mils in the Viterra division and in the SJHL.
The Terriers will have a few days off before visiting the Melville Millionaires for the 7th installment of the Highway 10 battle at the HCUC. GX94 will broadcast the game with Yorkto Dodge Junior Hockey, pregame show at 7:20.

David Miazga, Ryan Aubertin, and Cody Pongracz scored for Humboldt, while Ryland Pashovitz stopped 29 shots for the shutout. Richard Palmer turned aside 31 shots in a losing cause.
The Mils will visit the Notre Dame Hounds tomorrow night (Tues) at 8PM, same team that shutout the Mils 4-0 on Friday night.

Dylan Favell had the OT winner for Swan, while Nic Erb led the way with a hat-trick.Jagger Thomas and Max Flanagan also scored. Carter Johnson chipped in with 4 assists.
The Stamps return to the ice tomorrow night (Tues) when they visit the OCN Blizzard at 7:00.
