The Melville Millionaires played a pretty strong 2nd and 3rd period but it wasn't enough to get back in the win column as they lost their 5th straight, 6-3 on the road last night to the Estevan Bruins at Affinity Place.

The Bruins were able to get on the board first as 15 year old Cole Fonstad would grab a loose puck and go top shelf on Brandon Wells for his 1st SJHL goal on his 1st shot to give Estevan an early 1-0 lead.  They would make it 2-0 at the 12:10 mark as Zach Douglas' long point shot would go through a screen and hit the back of the net for his 5th goal for the veteran Bruin defenceman. Shots 11-7 Estevan.

The Mils would get on the board at 6:53 of the 2nd period as Tyler Kreklewich would knock home his 9th goal of the season to cut the Mils deficit to 2 at 3-1. But the Bruins would strike back and regain their 3 goal lead as Zach Goberis would take a nice feed across from Jason Duret to put home his 3rd of the year to make it 4-1 Estevan. The Mils, who were the better team in the middle frame would come back with another with just 2:46 left as Cole Filler, from his stomach would poke home his 6th to push the Moneymen within 2 once again at 4-2 after 40 minutes. Shots on goal 23-18 Estevan.

The home team would get their first 4 goal lead as Darcy Deroose would snipe home his 14th goal of the season to make it a 6-2 Estevan game. The Mils would add one more by 20 year old Dalton Menke but that's as close as they would get as  they dropped a 6-3 decision to their Viterra division rivals.
