Former Millionaire Kunitz cracks Canadian Olympic Squad
It is definately a red and white day for one former Melville Millionaire.
The Pittsburgh Penguins star and Regina native Chris Kunitz was one of the 25 players named to the Canadian Men's Hockey Roster for the next month's Sochi Olympic Games.
Kunitz was apart of the SJHL's Millionaires for 2 years (1997-1999), where he scored 87 goals and 59 assists for 146 points in 123 games.
He is currently 6th place in the NHL scoring race with 47 points, 23 goals and 24 assists.
Other Saskatchewan players named were Regina's Chris Getzlaf and Aneroid's Patrick Marleau.
Canada opens the Sochi Games Feb. 13 against Norway.

Fantastic to see him make the Olympic Team. He's a talented well rounded player and in the NHL top scoring. Disappointed to hear the negative comments, He can score with or without Crosby, just ask Getzlaf and Perry.
