Terriers move into 1st with win over the Mils; Stamps fall in Selkirk

The Yorkton Terriers swept the final home and home series of the season with the Melville Millionaires as they beat them 4-3 on Saturday night. 

Brett Boehm scored his 22nd, 23rd and 24th goal of the season to lead the way while Kailum Gervais chipped in with the other marker for the Terriers. 

Replying for the Mils was Landon Farrell, Cole Berreth and Alec Brandrup. 

Kale Thomson stopped 26 shots for the win, while Isaiah Plett turned aside 36 in a losing cause. 

The Terriers now 2 points up on the Mils for top spot in the Viterra division with two games in hand. 

Terriers host the Humboldt Broncos on Tuesday night , pregame 7:20 on GX94 while the Mils visit Humboldt on Friday.

While in the MJHL,

The Swan Valley Stampeders lost their 2nd straight a 8-1 decision to the Selkirk Steelers. 

Dylan Hykawy chipped in with the lone goal for the Stamps. 

Swan valley will try to salvage a win on the road trip as they finish the road trip in Winkler on Sunday.
