As the MJHL off season continues, the Swan Valley Stampeders have sent one of their 20 year olds across the border to Saskatchewan.
The Stamps sent 20 year old Stonewall, MB product Braydon MacDonald (pictured right) to the SJHL's Melfort Mustangs in exchange for 20 year old Zach Degraves (pictured left) and Future considerations.
MacDonald just wrapped up his 3rd full season with the Stamps where he had 19 goals, 26 assists for 45 points this past season. In his MJHL career MacDonald has 52 goals, 63 assists for 115 points in 187 career games.
Meanwhile Degraves was the backup to Richard Palmer in Melfort last season, but still had a 9-4-1 record, with a 2.09GAA and a 0.912 SV%.
The Stamps also swung a deal with the Wayway Wolverines by trading the rights to 20 year old defenseman Joe Sutherland to the Wayway Wolverines in exchange for the rights to 17 year old defenseman Ryland Nernberg and future considerations.
Sutherland only played 1 game this past season for the Stampeders but has just over a year of Junior A experience with SJHL's Melville Millionaires. Sutherland spent last season with KJHL's Peguis Juniors
