The Regina Red Sox scored 4 runs in the Top of the 8th inning to lead them to a 5-1 victory in Game 4 to eliminate the Yorkton Cardinals from Western Major Baseball League playoff contention.
Zach Weatherford did most of the damage for the Sox with a bases clearing double in the 8th inning to help Regina beat the Cards in 4 games.
Michael Schofield led the way offensively for the Cards in a losing cause going 2 for 4 which included a single & double and the only home team RBI.
The Red Sox will now meet the Weyburn Beavers in the Best of 5 Saskatchewan division final which will begin tomorrow night (Sat) at Tom Laing Park in Weyburn.
