Terriers; Stampeders both win big on Friday night

The Yorkton Terriers (11-4-0-1) got a little redemption on the Kindersley Klippers and on their former goalie Warren Shymko by hammering the Kindersley Klippers 7-1 on Friday night. Dayan Gatzke led the way with 2 goals, while Patrick Martens, Curtis Oliver, Brady Norrish, Brenden Poncelet and Zak Majkowski also scored for the Terriers. Dawson McAuley stopped 24 out of 25 for the win.

They will face these same Klippers Saturday night before finishing off the 3 in 3 in Battlefords Sunday afternoon on GX94.

The Swan Valley Stampeders (10-5-1) made it 8 wins in their last 9 games with a 4-0 shutout victory over the visiting Neepawa Natives and moved into sole possession of 2nd place in the Sherwood. Garret Johnston got his 1st MJHL goal plus an assist while Bryce Enns , Mitchell Eisenberg, and Landon Peel also scored for Swan Valley. Alcide Grenier got the start on net and stopped 20 shots for the shutout.

The Stamps will go right back at it Saturday night when they host the Portage Terriers.
