Former Millionaire Trapp & ND Hounds prepare for SJHL Canalta Cup Final that begins Friday in Melfort

For the first time in 27 years, the Notre Dame Hounds are headed back to the SJHL's Canalta Cup Finals. The Hounds advanced by defeating the Kindersley Klippers in overtime on Sunday night to capture that Semi-Final Series in 6 games.

The Hounds will now battle the Melfort Mustangs in the SJHL Final that'll begin on Friday night at the Northern Lights Palace.

The 30 year old Trapp scored 50 goals, 93 assists for 143 points in 154 career SJHL games with the Melville Millionaires and Estevan Bruins.

He then went on to score 56 goals & 96 assists for 155 points in 4 years with Sacred Heart University (NCAA Division 1)

I had a chance to catch up with former Melville Millionaires and Balcarres product Bear Trapp (pictured above) who is the Asst. Coach for the Hounds to preview the championship series.
