The Surrey BC product shot a 1st round of 7 under 66 at the national championship taking place at Yorkton's Deer Park Golf Course. Fellow BC golfer Kathrine Chan is 3 shots back after a 4 under 69.

Hobson is the top Saskatchwan golfer in a tie for 12th after a 1 over par 73.
Melville's Chloe Sies sits in a T63 at +10 after an opening round of 83.
