Cardinals; Mils victorious on a Father's Day Sunday in the WMBL

In the Western Major Baseball League last night both of our local teams were winners on Father's Day Sunday,

At Jubilee Park, the Yorkton Cardinals got a 3 hit performance from Ben Schanding (pictured above right) as they improved to 9-8 on the season with a 7-4 win over the visiting Regina Red Sox.

The Cards are back on the field tomorrow night (Tues) when they visit the Moose Jaw Miller Express.

Meanwhile down in Melville,

Kris Brown (pictured above left) went the distance scattering 3 runs on 5 hits while striking out 5 to get his 2nd win of the season as the Melville Millionaires hammered the Weyburn Beavers 10-3 at Pirie Field.

Braden Alleman led the way offensively with 4 hits for the Mils, who host the Swift Current Indians tonight at 7:05 from the Rail City.
