It was a golden weekend for Team Saskatchewan at the inaugural Senior Women's National Football Championships that wrapped up over the weekend at Mosaic Stadium in Regina.
The Saskatchewan girls defeated Quebec 34-22 in Sunday's championship game.
Melville Cobras Head Coach John Svenson (pictured above) was on the Saskatchewan coaching staff and I had chance to catch up with him to chat about the title.
Melville's Tricia Sylvester was also a member of Team Saskatchewan on the offensive line.
