Knox win; Bronx lose in PJHL/QVHL Action

In the PJHL

The Fort Knox held on to double up the Delisle Chiefs 8-4 in Balcarres in PJHL action to move into sole possession of 2nd place in the South division.

Dustin Minto led the way for the Knox with Hat trick while Travis Lemaire, Brayden Anderson, Nyle Stevenson, Brad Tomiski and Branden Kayter scored the other Knox markers. Brayden Atkinson led the way for the Chiefs with 2 goals, while Mark Ganter and Dalyn Hoiness also replied for Delisle. 

The game also featured a 6 on 6 line brawl that included the 2 goalies just 3 seconds into the 2nd period. 

Johnathan Loeffler and Josh Switzer were the winning Knox goalies while Keith Boom and Tyler Peakman were the losing tenders for the Chiefs

In the QVHL (2nd game of our double header) 

The Balcarres Bronx lost their 2nd straight game as they fell 6-4 to the visiting Balgonie Bisons in a rematch of last years league final.

Former Yorkton Terrier Lance Herauf led the way with 2 goals for the Bisons while fellow former Terrier Nathan Murray, Kurtis Selinger, Jason Weitzel and Drew Istace chipped in with the others. Replying for the Broncs was Jarett Waldbauer, Mark Hartman, Jamie Miller and Jordan Johns. 

Riley Ross got the win in goal for Balgonie, while David Dempster got the defeat between the pipes for the Broncs.

In the SJHL

The Melville Millionaires lost their 2nd straight game as they fell 4-2 at home to the Notre dame Hounds.

Tyson Predinchuk and Alec Brandrup scored for the Mils while Isaiah Plett stopped 27 of 31 shots in a losing cause. 

The Mils next action will be on Friday when they host Melfort Mustangs at the HCUC at 7:30.
