Friday Night Jr. Recap
The Yorkton Terriers closed out their 2015 portion of their home schedule on the right foot with a 5-1 win over the Notre Dame Hounds on Friday night.
Adam Santoro, Kailum Gervais and Paul Savage (pictured above) led the way offensively with 1G 1A while Corwin Stevely and Jordan Evans also had markers for the Terriers.
Jakob Severson got the start in net and made 23 saves for Yorkton who wrap up their pre-Christmas schedule tonight (Sat) when they visit the Weyburn Red Wings.
Elsewhere last night in the SJHL, The Melville Millionaires lost their 6th straight, dropping a 5-2 decision to the Nipawin Hawks.
Liam Shaw scored for both goals for the Moneymen while Clark Flegel made 32 saves in the losing cause.
The Mils play their final game before their break tonight (Sat) at 7:30 when they visit the Nipawin Hawks.
Meanwhile in the MJHL,
The Wayway Wolverines won their 2nd straight over Neepawa defeating the Natives last night 6-2.
Johl Swedlo (2G) [pictured above] , Rhett Lough (2A) , Tyler Ham (2A) and Brayden Cullum (1G 1A) led the way with 2 points while Landyn Cochrane, Quentin Cubbon and Brock Paddock also had singles for Wayway.
Troy Martyniuk made 22 saves for his 2nd straight win.
The Wolverines will be on home ice tonight (Sat) when they host the OCN Blizzard.
