The "Valley" Line combines for 6 points to lead Swan Valley over Wayway 4-2 on Wednesday night

The Swan Valley Stampeders got back on the win track last night and beat the Wayway Wolverines for the 3rd time in the process doubling the Wolverines 4-2 in MJHL action.

The Stampeders had the jump in the 1st period controlling the shot column and they would be able to get the only goal of the opening frame as Cody Ellingson (pictured above middle) would take a nice feed in front from Tristan Langan (pictured above left) & slip it through Wolverine goaltender Greg Harney for his 6th of the season to give the Stamps a 1-0 lead after 20 mins. Shots on goal 15-8 Swan Valley.

After a scoreless 2nd period, 5 total goals would be scored in the final frame. 20 year old Johl Swedlo would start things up getting the Wolverines on the board with his 9th of the season to make it a 1-1 game. But just 2:06 later the Stamps would regain their 1 goal lead as Trevor Mann would pot home his 6th to make it a 2-1 Swan lead. The Stamps would get their first 2 goal lead of the night as 17 year old Josh Tripp (pictured above right)  would strike on the powerplay and get his team lead 12th of the year to make it 3-1. But the Wolverines would cut it back within one as rookie Ty Enns would get his Wolverine-leading 10th to make it 3-2. But that's as close as Wolverines would get as in the final minute Stamps' Asst. Captain Michael Fortin would ice into the empty net to give the Stamps their 11th victory of the season a 4-2 final over Waywayseecappo.

Stamps netminder Zach Degraves was very good stopping 35 of 37 shots for the win while Greg Harney made 31 saves in the losing cause.

The Stamps next action will be tomorrow night (Fri) when they host the Selkirk Steelers at 7:30. The Wolverines' next game will also be against the Selkirk Steelers on Sunday. GX94 will broadcast that game with Yorkton Dodge Junior Hockey , pregame 7:20 pxp at 7:30 from the Wayway Arena Complex.
