The Swan Valley Stampeders were able to improve their winning streak to 4 games with a 5-4 shootout victory over the Virden Oil Capitals .
Dylan Hykaway and Colin Baudry both got goals for the Stamps in the opening frame , both long shots from the point as the Stamps led 2-0 after 20 minutes.
Kolby Woods would cut the Stamps lead in half as he got Virden on the board but Colin Baudry would reply for the Stamps on the Powerplay his 2nd of the night and 14th of the season which would give Swan a 3-1 lead after 2 periods.
The Oil Caps would get two quick goals in period number 3 as Devin Schramm and Corey Haverstick would tie up the hockey game but Mitchell Eisenberg would give Swan the lead right back to make it 4-3. But Haverstick would tie it up once again for his 2nd of the night and that would send it to overtime which decided nothing. Then in the shootout the first five shooters would not score until the 6th and final shooter as Colin Baudry scored putting it five hole for the Shootout winner and the Stamps 5-4 shootout victory.
