The Canadian Under 18 mens hockey team won the Gold medal over the weekend at the Ivan Hlinka Memorial Tournament in the Czech Republic with a 4-0 win over the USA in Final game. The team consisted of two local products in Roblin Manitoba's Jayce Hawryluk (pictured left), & Carlyle Saskatchewan's Haydn Fleury (pictured right) .
Hawryluk plays with WHL's Brandon Wheat Kings, meantime Fleury suits up on the backend of the Red Deer Rebels.
I chatted with one of those Gold medal Winners Hawryluk about the title.
It was the 6th straight Ivan Hlinka Title for Team Canada.
