Parkland Female Hockey Program introduced

Melville Minor Hockey (MMHA), in partnership with Yorkton Minor Hockey (YMH), would like to announce the Parkland Female Hockey Program.

To maintain continuity and succession in the both associations’ female hockey programs, MMHA and YMH have joined forces to run a single, successful program. The Parkland program will include the PeeWee Parkland Fire, Bantam Parkland Crushers and the Parkland Midget AA Lions.

This is an exciting time for female hockey. Melville is looking forward to working with Yorkton to house these programs and maintain long-term stability and sustainability for its female hockey program. Both associations believe it’s important to offer a combined program and work in conjunction with the Melville Prairie Fire Midget AAA team. This will ensure the Parkland Female Hockey Program feeds into the Prairie Fire program as well.  All parties involved see this as a win-win situation.

The Parkland Female Hockey Program will consist of players not only from Melville and Yorkton but from other centers in the surrounding area. All female players are invited to register and participate with the program.  Affiliate player opportunities are also available.

The Parkland Female teams will be playing out of the South Saskatchewan Female Hockey League.

Melville’s website will be updated as information becomes available--www.melvilleminorhockey.net
