A Successful Senior Bowl Weekend in Yorkton

For the first time in its history, the Football Saskatchewan Senior Bowl was held in the City of Yorkton and it went off with great success.

In the 6-Man All Star game, Wynyard product Rylan Sokul caught 5 touchdown passes to help Team North to a 55-32 victory over Team South.

Meanwhile in the 12-Man showcase game, Team South who was Head Coached by Yorkton's Jason Boyda clobbered Team North by a score of 51-7.

Boyda adds his team got off to a good start

"I was impressed with how the boys came out firing right from the opening kickoff, they had lots of passion and they executed well and I'm just really proud of the entire team."

Yorkton's Matt Mandziuk had one of the TDs for Team  South and he says to get a touchdown was pretty special

"It feels good, especially to get one on my last time playing at Kinsmen Century Field, which means a lot, but overall our offence played well."

It was the 34th edition of the Ed Henick Senior Bowl, and the first one held outside of Saskatoon or Regina.
