Yorkton Terriers/ Estevan Bruins - SJHL Semi-Final Recaps

 GAME 1 (Bruins win 7-4; lead series 1-0)

The Yorkton Terriers dropped Game 1 of their SJHL Semi-Final series, 7-4 to the Estevan Bruins. 

Olivier Pouliot had 2G 3A to lead the Bruins offensively, while Jamie Valentino scored twice while Mark Rumsey and Mikol Sartor chipped in with singles.

Karsten Kruska replied for the Terriers with 2 goals, while Zack McIntyre and Tyson Janzen also scored for Yorkton.

Boston Bilous made 18 saves on 22 shots in the Bruins net, while Terriers' G Kael DePape turned aside 29 shots in the loss.

GAME 2 (Bruins win 3-1; EST leads series, 2-0)

Cody Davis’ short-handed goal in the first was the game winner as the Estevan Bruins held on for a 3-1 win over the Yorkton Terriers in Game 2.

Eric Pearce opened the scoring for the Bruins in the first before icing it with just over 40 seconds left in the 3rd, while Nolan Wutzke scored the lone goal for Yorkton.

Boston Bilous made 30 saves on 31 shots in the win, while Terriers netminder Kael DePape made 26 stops in loss.

The Terriers now trail the Best of 7 Semi-Final, 2-0 and will host Games 3 and 4 of the series back in Yorkton on Tuesday (April 5) & Thursday (April 7) respectively. 

GAME 3 (Bruins win 2-1; EST leads series, 3-0) 

The Yorkton Terriers let a one goal lead slip away as they fell 2-1 to the Estevan Bruins in Game 3 of their SJHL Semi-Finals. 

Former Bruin Erik Boers got the Terriers out to a lead with 2nd period powerplay goal, but two third period goals from the Bruins by Eric Pearce Mikol Sartor was the difference. 

Bruins' G Boston Bilous turned aside 28 of 29 shots to get the win, while Kael DePape for the Terriers made 23 saves. 

Yorkton will look to keep their season alive when they host Game 4 of the Best of 7 Semi-Final on Thursday (Apr. 6th).
