Mllionaires' drop 4th straight after Sunday matinee loss in Nipawin

The Melville Millionaires dropped their 3rd straight against Nipawin and 4th consecutive overall after a 4-2 loss on the road against the Hawks.

After no goals in the 1st, the Millionaires got the opening goal at the 14:46 mark of the 2nd as Nathan Fox received a cross-ice feed from Zach Cain and made no mistake for his 6th of the season making it 1-0.

But the Hawks quickly responded just over 2 minutes later on the PP as Braxton Buckberge took a nice cross seam pass from Alex Ochitwa and sniped his 7th to send the Teddy Bears flying at the Cage to even it 1-1.

Nipawin grabbed the first lead of the night just 65 seconds later as while on 4 on 4 play, FX Bedard had couple whacks at a rebound & the 2nd one he was able to slip it over Kelton Pyne to make it 2-1 home-side after 40 minutes.

In the 3rd, the Hawks once again was able to score a couple goals, this time only 44 seconds apart off the sticks of Carson Dobson and Alex Ochitwa before Aiden Robson added a late goal to make it 4-2 but that's as close as they would get.

Hawks G Jackson Fellner won his 3rd straight start against Melvlle making 28 saves, while Kelton Pyne in the Mils cage turned aside 43 shots.

The Moneymen return to action on Friday night hosting Humboldt while the Hawks are back at it Tuesday entertaining the Yorkton Terriers.
