The Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League announced their rosters for the SJHL-MJHL Showcase being held in Winnipeg on January 31st and February 1st.
A total of six teams will take part, with two U20 teams and one U18 team per league.
The Yorkton Terriers had two players selected for the Showcase in Canora product Clay Sleeva and rookie forward Dylan Ruptash.
Ruptash, from Edmonton, leads the team in points with 26 and all SJHL rookies in goals with 16, while Sleeva has 19 points in 35 games.
The Melville Millionaires also had two players selected in newly acquired forward Jaxon Martens and local product Carter McKay.
Martens joins the team as the leader in points with 29, all with the Flin Flon Bombers, while McKay has 20 points in 34 games.
Former Millionaire Zach Cain was also selected, while Terriers head coach and GM Mat Hehr will be an assistant coach for the U18 team.
Meanwhile, from the Manitoba Junior Hockey League, the Swan Valley Stampeders had five players selected, and the Waywayseecappo Wolverines also had five players selected.
Representing the Stamps is goaltender Kobe Grant, defencemen Warren Marcotte and Adam Rajsigl, and forwards Justin Keck and Steven Arp.
Wayway will see goaltender Tressor Wotton, defenceman Lucas Eagle and forwards Carson Baptiste, Andrew Boucher and Boone Mathison will also participate.
Stamps head coach Barry Wolff will head one of Manitoba’s U20 teams, while Wolverines’ bench boss Taylor Harnett was named an assistant coach for Manitoba’s U18 team.
