Martens; McAuley lead in 6-3 clincher over Estevan

The Yorkton Terriers put another good effort together as they beat the Estevan Bruins 6-3 to win the series 4-1.

The red hot Patrick Martens would open the scoring with his 5th to make it 1-0 before Jeremy Johnson would get a shorthanded marker to make it 2-0. But Bruins' Calder Neufeld would get them on the board to make it 3-1 after 1.

Kailum Gervais would begin the 2nd with his 3rd to make it 3-1 but Hudson Morrison would cut it with within one at 3-2. Martens would get his 2nd towards the end of the period it was  4-2 after 40 minutes.

The teams would exchange goals with Martens getting his hat trick goal and 7th goal of playoffs and Neufeld replying for Bruins. But Tyler Giebel would ice it to make it a 6-3 final.

Dawson McAuley stopped 35 of 38 shots for victory while Curtis Martinu stopped 22 shots for loss.

Terriers win series 4-1, will wait Sherwood Final opponent either Melville or Notre Dame .
