Terriers win 3-1 again to take 2-0 Series Lead

Different Night, but same result as the Yorkton Terriers defeated the Melville Millionaires 3-1 to take a 2-0 series lead.

It got all started as Michael Sagen would get his 2nd goal of the playoff to make it 1-0 for the Mils. But the latter stages of the 1st period, Tayler Thompson would get his 1st goal of the playoffs to make it 1-1 after 1 period of play.

Early in the 2nd period, Brady Norrish would put home his 2nd of the playoffs to make it 2-1 Terriers after 40 minutes of play.

In the third, half way through the 3rd period, Patrick Martens would get the insurance marker on the Powerplay to make it 3-1 Terrier final for a 2nd straight night.

Dawson McAuley got the start and the victory for the Terriers stopping 26 shots while Alex Wakaluk was tagged with the loss.

Game 3 will go on Monday in Yorkton 7:20/7:30 on GX94. Terriers up 2-0 in the series.

  1. So...where do we begin....feisel doesnt come on air to make excuses after game 2....yes..i understand the mils best players gotta be their best when playoffs roll around...the players gotta take 50% of the blame for not either being prepared for this series/game-time...and the coaching staff has the other 50% to have them prepared...wats the problem here???...as far as im concerned...it's coaching...game 1 of this series post game show...feisel gave the same excuses as he did in the n.d series...it's time to put up or shut up...

  2. Feisel and his coaching stuff are all talk for the past ten years. All talk but no action. "We talked about this before the game" over and over, Time for a change in head coach and assistants.

  3. totally agree. Top players and they are not playing. Why - they get critized time after time publicly. If we do not win with this talented team we never will.

  4. Yeah must be fiesel's fault that mcnulty has disappeared this playoffs, must be fiesels fault that wakaluk is not playing like he did during the regular season and giving up huge rebounds and fumbling the puck. lets fire fiesel and get a new coach so we can have succesful season like estevan and weyburn and melfort and kindersly did this year.
Every time the mils lose a game the band wagoners jump off and fiesel needs to be fired. makes zero sense to me

  5. Can you post the Struble interview? SAIT & Terrier fans in Calgary missed it and we would like to hear it.
    Thanks!

  7. @David if the boys win the series it is their doing not the coaches. You are one of the few Fiesel fans. A person gets sick and tired of being yelled at all the time.

  8. I never said they would win because of fiesel. I was saying that they were not losing it becuae of fiesel but rather the play of certain players
I hope that no players have hurt feelings from being yelled at byt fiesel. Kindersley players revolted cause there coach was "too hard" on them a couple years back. See coaching change their really turned that organization around

  9. hmm interesting.. I give credit to Jamie he is one hell of a GM, and if the mils could afford to make him GM and find a new coach I would be all for it. But they don't have the cash to do that, if the mils pull out this series its cuz the players wanted it not because Jamie's systems work. they haven't worked for 9 years and they still don't work. Things go stale in your cupboard at home after a while, time for a complete change in Melville! however with that said if the mils do win a championship under Jamie, he will be enshrined as a god in Melville. Take it or leave it, only the executive has the decision and who knows what the old boys club will do!

  10. It's a rock and a hard place situation. Jamie is very consistant without being over the top good. There is no way the executive get rid of him, just because being a bit better than the league average and seeing a lot of playoff hockey has been good for them financially.

If anything Jamie needs an assistant who can act to influence some change in his systems. When they work, they work well. But when it comes to playoff hockey it is time to go hard instead of treating the game like a chess match.
