Degraves' 25 save shutout helps Swan Valley complete Survivor Series sweep of Wayway

The Swan Valley Stampeders completed their 2 game sweep of the Best of 3 MJHL Survivor series after a 3-0 win over the Wayway Wolverines on Tuesday night.

After a scoreless 1st period, where the Stamps had two disallowed goals off the sticks of Tanner Koroscil & Daylan Creasy and then had a late 5 on 3 power play but they were not be able to convert on it.

The Stamps were able to opening scoring just over the midpoint of the 2nd as on the 4th power play opportunity it would be Josh Tripp grabbing a feed off a rebound and would beat Troy Martyniuk for his 1at of the playoffs to give Swan a 1-0 lead after 40 minutes.

In the 3rd, the Stamps would add to their lead as Trevor Mann would take a nice feed from the high slot and snap home his 2nd of the playoffs to give the Stamps some insurance at 2-0. Keaton Jameson would ice into the empty net for Swan Valley for his 1st to give the Stamps the 3-0 win, and the 2 game series sweep.

Zach Degraves (pictured above) stopped all 25 shots he faced for his 1st MJHL shutout for Swan Valley while Wolverine net minder Troy Martyniuk 30 saves in the losing cause.

The Stamps will now advance to take on the Steinbach Pistons in the MJHL Quarter-Finals which will most likely get going on Friday night for Game 1 from Steinbach,
